Cheech & Chong (Need I Say More?)

Cheech & Chong are a Grammy Award-winning comedy duo consisting of Richard “Cheech” Marin and Tommy Chong. They found a wide audience in the 1970s and 1980s for their films and stand-up routines, which were based on the hippie and free love era, and especially drug culture movements, most notably their love for cannabis. Since those days, Cheech has most notably appeared on the TV show Nash Bridges and Chong’s California-based company, Chong’s Glass, was raided by federal officials on February 25, 2003.

There is one notable part of this album that is missing. The GIANT rolling paper. Despite seeing every Cheech & Chong movie (and the occasional Nash Bridges episode) I can honestly say I didn’t use it. Brothers? Did you? Mom? Dad? This is one mystery I don’t think I’ll get an answer to.

Carl Perkins

Carl Lee Perkins (April 9, 1932 – January 19, 1998) was an American rockabilly musician who recorded most notably at Sun Records Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, beginning during 1954. His best known song is “Blue Suede Shoes”. Perkins’ songs were recorded by artists as influential as Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and Johnny Cash, which further cemented his place in the history of popular music.
